24 weeks old
Emme Claire is doing a new face now where she wrinkles up her nose and squints her eyes and grins. It's so cute! She must know that we think it's cute because she does it all the time now. I will have to get a pic of her doing it and post it on here soon. She is loving her new jumperoo and she usually doesn't mind sitting in it to play while I get a few things done. It has been a life saver. Her hair is growing so much! I can't wait till the day I can put pig tails in her hair! Emme Claire has tried some new baby foods, she ate some sweet potatoes and seemed to really like them. She also had some pears, bananas and applesauce and enjoyed those too. I think we'll try squash tomorrow. We're doing all the 1st foods right now. But I think her favorite is still the cereal mixed with apple juice. She still drinks formula mostly and eats spoon fed food about twice a day.
Here is Emme Claire after the sweet potatoes.

Little Miss Messy!

We went to the Log Cabin in Ruston Saturday night to celebrate Brian and his brother Tim's birthdays with the family. I got some pics of Emme Claire in her cute little outfit before we left the house. The sweater sleeves were a little too long for her arms but it's still cute on her.

She was checking out the dots on her skirt.

This afternoon she fell asleep in her jumperoo. I thought she looked so sweet I just had to take a pic.

Look at her right hand, she is still holding on to her link.

Brian caught these pics of her holding her own bottle today. She doesn't like holding her bottle very often so I told him he should take a pic of her since she was doing it. Then when he got the camera out and pointed it at her she started to smile. My baby girl definitely knows what to do when a camera is pointed at her.

I think she will be adding pictures of her new line on her website later this week and she is also planning to create a Fan Page on Facebook showing pictures of her clothes. Her clothes are for girls size newborn to 6/7. They are adorable and she uses some very cute fabrics! She made my Emme Claire's crib bedding and it looks great! I've seen some pics of the new line and I am in love with the mushroom outfit!!! Emme Claire must have it!! :)
As you know I have started my own little home business "Sugar Plum Fairies & Huckleberries". So in addition to her items I will be displaying my tutus, taggie blankets, toy saver straps, bibs and burp cloths. You can view my products at www.sugarplumfairieshuckleberries.blogspot.com
Everyone who comes will be able to put their name in a drawing for 3 different prizes. 1st prize is a 9" length tutu of your choice, 2nd prize is a medium taggie blanket of your choice, 3rd prize is a toy saver strap of your choice.
I will also be serving refreshments for you to enjoy while you browse. Feel free to bring a friend or relative with you.
You might be able to find a great outfit for holiday events and photo shoots. Or possibly gifts for a baby shower, birthday or Christmas.
If you have any questions you can contact me on Facebook, email me at shoegalamy@yahoo.com or call me at 249-2863.
I hope you can make it!
Here are a few pics to give you a taste of what Stacy will have at the trunk show.
The mushroom outfit that I know I'll be ordering. Isn't it too cute?

The adorable sock monkey outfit. This is precious!

This is a taffeta ruffled pant set - it also comes with a sash and includes monogramming on the shirt. Wouldn't this be great for a Christmas outfit?

Lil' Pumpkin
I somehow managed to do two blog posts on here yesterday and I'm squeezing this one in today but there probably won't be many more this week. This is going to be a crazy busy week around here. Lots to be done!
Yesterday evening we took Emme Claire over to visit with her grandparents for a few hours. Here are some pics I had Brian snap of her in her Lil' Pumpkin outfit before we left.

Then when we got home last night I snapped some pics of her after I changed her into her jammies.

5 1/2 Months Old!
My baby girl is growing up so fast and it seems like every day she is doing something new! It is making my head spin!
Here are some new pics of her taken so far in October. The first pics are from Thursday when Emme Claire and I were getting ready to go pick Aunt Dean up to go to lunch and then we went to her house to visit.
My mom bought EC a Rainforest Jumperoo. Brian built it Friday night after we got home from my grandmother's visitation. She played in it for a long time. She loved it! Thank goodness! Now maybe I can put her in that and get some things done around here.
I took a pic of her on her changing pad to show how long she is getting. She is gonna outgrow that thing before too long, then I don't know what I'm going to do.
I bought EC a stuffed owl the other day and I got some cute pics of her with it. I think she likes it. :)
Instead of me trying to load all those pics on here just copy and paste the link below into your browser and you can view the ones I posted on my Facebook account.

I had EC's pumpkin patch pics taken Saturday morning by K & K Photography. So far I have seen 4 of them and they are so cute. Karie will be putting them in an online gallery for viewing on her website and when she does I will post it on here so y'all can go see them too. I found her a super cute dress that has owls all over it and I put polka dots baby legs (baby legs are leg warmers for babies and they are so cute) on her. She looked so adorable in that outfit. Oh and I bought her a little pair of brown leather shoes to wear with it. They are soft soled shoes for babies and they fit her perfectly. I can't wait to see all the pics!

Mamaw Bibber
My Mamaw Bibber passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009. Wilma Hightower was 83. She lived a long blessed life. She had a huge family that loved her dearly. She influenced my life greatly and I will forever miss her. She and I were very close and we spent a lot of time together. I'm so grateful for the time I got to spend with her. I took her to many of her doctor appointments and we would always go out for lunch. I would take her for pizza sometimes because she loved pizza but didn't get it very often. Sometimes we would go to the Cracker Barrel because she loved their cornbread muffins. I took her to get her groceries and her medicine. And most times she would say "Do you feel like having some ice cream?" and we would go somewhere to get a shake or a scoop. I have a sweet tooth and I know just where it came from. :) One year she was trying to decide what to give everyone for Christmas and I suggested we make up a cookbook of all her special recipes. So she gathered them up and some she had to write down because she just had them in her head. And I typed them all up, printed them out and put them in little books. And so that year she gave everyone 'Mamaw Bibber's Recipe Book'. I'm so glad I did that because I will always cherish it. And I use it all the time. We would go to the movies in Ruston and she loved it. She just loved to get the yummy buttery popcorn (so do I). I took her several times to the Biedenharn Museum in Monroe to see the flowers. She loved all her flowers at home and she always had the prettiest bulbs that would bloom every year. We made sure to get one of the 5 cent glass bottle Cokes when we were at Biedenharn and we would either sit on the bench and drink it or wander around the flowers drinking it. My mamaw was funny and the best story teller. She told me a lot of funny stories about my dad when he was little. He is her oldest child. We would talk about my dogs, she liked to hear about the funny things they were always doing. I'm going to miss visiting with her. She was a truly a blessing in my life and I am so glad I had 32 years to spend with her. I will have to tell my little Emme Claire all about her great grandmother and what a wonderful person she was.

Brian met us for lunch that day and took this picture.

Mamaw Bibber's 82nd birthday party at Aunt Raina's house. I bought her this cake from Kacee's Sugar and Spice.

She had a good time at her party! This was January 2008.

This picture was from her last birthday, her 83rd. I bought this cake for her from Chrissy's Cakes and she loved it! This was January 2009.

Cloud Dust Trunk Show
I'm hosting a Cloud Dust trunk show on Saturday, October 16th from 2 to 4 pm at my house in Chatham and you are invited! It will be come and go anytime during those hours. Cloud Dust is handmade clothes for children. Mostly girls clothes but she does make some boy clothes too. Her stuff is very unique and she uses some great fabric. She designs her own clothes and this will be her fall/winter line. The lady who makes these clothes lives in Magnolia, AR.
She has made a few outfits for Emme Claire (the green and purple pear hat outfit and the pillowcase dress that matches her bedding) and she is the one who made EC's crib bedding and a diaper bag too. She is very talented. I hope you all can make it. Oh and if you have a friend who wants to come feel free to bring them with you. You might find the perfect outfit for Christmas or for an upcoming photo session. I know that her clothes start at infant sizes but I'm not sure what they stop at. I know I've seen girls who look around 6 or 7 modeling her clothes. I will check and see what sizes are available and I'll let y'all know.
She has a blog where you can view some of her past outfits. (She has also gotten into photography recently and so some of the blog posts are about that but if you go through her post history you can find the posts that are about her clothes.) Oh and right at the top of her blog there is a slideshow of some of her clothes.

UPDATE TO THIS POST!!! She has made boy clothes in the past but this time it's just girl clothes. Sorry! But if you only have boys you are still welcome to come and shop for your nieces Christmas presents or for girl baby shower gifts etc.
The girls sizes are from newborn to 6/7.
