5 Months Old!

Last week Emme Claire turned 5 months old! She is growing and changing so fast! Part of me wants her to stay a little baby but it is fun to see her learning and doing new things. She found her feet and like to grab them and just hold them. She has started trying to pull her knees up to crawl when she is on her belly but she doesn't yet know what to do with her arms so it makes her mad that she can't get anywhere. She is really loving her baby food and sometimes I think she prefers it over her formula.

We had a great time in Houston. Brian worked part of the time and while he was working Emme Claire and I shopped. I found her a lot of cute things to wear this fall/winter. We ate a lot of good food. We got to see our friends Anna and Darcy. We went to the Italian Style Expo which was fun. We spent a day in The Woodlands eating and shopping. I didn't take very many pics while we were gone but I did get a few of EC.

She is wearing the pear outfit made by Cloud Dust. I got this for her before she was born and she is finally able to wear it. I forgot to bring the matching pear hat with me so I'll have to get another picture of her later on wearing the hat with it.

Doesn't she look so sweet in her little hat? :)

Getting ready to go to dinner with Anna and Darcy.

She loves these plastic links. She holds them all the time and when she falls asleep in the carrier she is usually holding them in her sleep.

In the hotel room, getting ready to head out for the day.

Green Beans!!

We decided to finally try giving Emme Claire some real baby food. The doctor said to start out with the green ones. So we gave her green beans. At first she wasn't sure about it. Then after a few bites she decided it was pretty good and she ate the whole jar (2.5 oz). She had green stuff all over her!!! Luckily it all came out in the wash.

Emme Claire is 21 weeks old!

Well today my baby was 21 weeks old. In one week she will be 5 months old!!! Time flies!
She is such a happy baby, always smiling! This morning I was laying in bed with her. I had her leaned up against her Boppy and I was stroking her hair and I could have just eaten her up! I am so in love with this baby!!! She couldn't be more perfect! Our routine now is that when she wakes up in the morning I of course change her diaper first and then I give her a bottle and then we lay in bed and watch Sesame Street (I record it so it doesn't matter what time it is I can always turn it on) and then sometime during Sesame Street she falls back asleep for her morning nap. I usually try to take that nap with her.
Her hair has grown so much. She never lost any like most people say babies do. Hers has only gotten longer and thicker. And now there are bits of it that curl out. It is so cute! And her eyes are still very blue and beautiful!
This week her new favorite toy are these plastic links that you put together in a string. I'll have to get a pic of her playing with them to post on here. She loves to shake the links and stick them in her mouth.
She is still eating her cereal with apple juice everyday and she loves it. She eats it all up. Well, the parts that don't end up on her face and hands anyway. We need to start her on the green baby foods soon but we are leaving town Tuesday morning to go to Houston so I'm not sure if we'll get to start her on something new right now. We might have to wait until we get back.
She is still growing so fast. The 6 month size footed pajamas that I bought her just a week or so ago are already getting a little short on her. They would fit fine if they didn't have the feet built in. Brian wants to cut the feet out of them and I told him No Way!

Here are a couple of pics that I took of her a few days ago on the couch. Brian was laying on the couch with her and so he took the cushions off and while they were playing she fell asleep like this. I thought she looked so sweet sleeping sitting up in the corner like that.

Brian said I was putting too many tutu pics on EC's blog so I created a new blog that is just for my little business. If you go to my profile on here you can click on it or you can go straight to it by typing this in your web browser. www.sugarplumfairieshuckleberries.blogspot.com
Hopefully I can get the tutu posts moved from this blog over to my new blog. If that is possible.

New tutus!

Here are a few recent tutus I've made.

The Lil' Techster tutu is very popular. This one with the matching tutu poof headband was for a customer. I can't wait to see a pic of her little one wearing it.

The Night Owl

Here is Emme Claire finally wearing her night owl pajamas. They are so cute on her. And she loves to stare at the pants with all those little animals on them. She was even trying to grab the little critters.

She isn't asleep in the next two pics. She is looking at the animals on her pants. :)

Little Miss Messy!

We have only tried feeding Emme Claire rice cereal with a spoon a few times. The first couple of times didn't go so well. She wasn't sure what was going on and I didn't force her to eat it. Last night we tried for probably the third time and it went much better. The cereal was mixed with apple juice so it tastes good and this time she was very into it. She couldn't get enough cereal! She was acting like a lil' piglet and after a bunch of the cereal made it up her nose she was even snorting like a lil' piglet. It was so funny! And I couldn't shovel the food in fast enough for her. She even tried grabbing the bowl and stuck her head over in it. We were laughing so hard! And she made a huge mess. It was all over her and it got on me too. Here are some pics Brian took.

New Products!

I still haven't come up with a name for my little home business. I'll know it when it comes to me. And I would like to make something for little boys because I have a lot of friends who have sons but so far I can't think of anything to make them. I'm gonna keep working on it though.

I had to change my 12" and 18" tutu prices a little because I didn't have them figured right. The 6" tutu price stayed the same. I have added an optional flower clip that can either be worn on the tutu or in the girls hair. If you want the flower clip add $7 to the price of the tutu. Or if you want the tutu poof headband add $5 to the price of the tutu. If you want both the flower clip and the headband add $12 to the tutu price.

Tutu Prices
6" long matte - $15 with tutu poof headband = $20 with flower clip = $22
6" long shimmer - $17 with tutu poof headband = $22 with flower clip = $24

12" long matte - $20 with tutu poof headband = $25 with flower clip = $27
12" long shimmer - $24 with tutu poof headband = $29 with flower clip = $31

18" long matte - $26 with tutu poof headband = $31 with flower clip = $33
18" long shimmer - $32 with tutu poof headband = $37 with flower clip = $39

Here are some new pics of the flower clips.

I have a lot of color choices. These have alligator clips on the back.

Here is one on a tutu.

Close up of two flower clips.

I've decided to start making bow holders as well. The one like I made for Emme Claire's room. Here are some pics of hers.

I'm thinking of making EC another one because this one is full and the bow holder that my mom bought her is also full. Plus that would give me another example to show people.

It sells for $30 including the monogram which can be first name only, first and middle name or initials. I'm going to make EC's new one with just the initials so y'all can see how that looks.

These would make great baby shower, Christmas or birthday gifts. I have a lot of fabric choices but if I don't have what you are looking for just let me know what color you need and I will find it. Also if you don't need a bow holder the ribbon can be left off and it can just be a wall plaque with the child's name on it. Without the ribbon would be $25. The wall plaque could be hung in a boys room. These come ready to hang. They are 7 1/2" x 16" plus the ribbon which is about 2' long.

If you have any questions or would like to make an order just email me at shoegalamy@yahoo.com or call 249-2863.

Here are the fabrics I currently have in stock.

If you choose either of these two fabrics shown below the price will be $35 because this fabric was very expensive. I ordered it from the company who made EC's nursery chair.

This is Minky Dot fabric. I can order it in just about any color imaginable.
