Canton TX Shopping Finds! Owls!!!

I hope I haven't already posted this here. I don't think I did but I have major Mommy brain most of the time.
I wanted to share with y'all some of the cute stuff I bought at Canton on Halloween Day this year. Some of these items will go in EC's big girl bedroom in our TX house. She won't actually sleep in there yet but that doesn't mean I can't make her a big girl room does it?? Haha! And one wooden owl will go on the wall in EC's upstairs playroom in TX, it's decorated in a bright colored owl theme. A lot of the decor in that playroom is from her 1st birthday party.

This "clothes line" will go on the wall in her big girls room. I'll have pictures from the pins and I'll probably add a few more pins to it. I think they forgot to paint the nose on those owls so I'll have to add that too.

Here is a adorable growth chart I found to go on the wall in her new big girl's room in TX also. (Here it is shown hanging on the wall in her nursery in the LA house but that was just to get it off the floor.)

This is the owl that will go on the wall in the upstairs playroom.

The cutest headboard ever! I was so excited when we found this bed! I just love it! They forgot to paint the nose on the white owl on the bed so I'll have to add it too. They had to paint most of this up for me that day because the one on display was already sold. So they were in a rush.

Emme loves her new headboard too!

And this is a little something to go under the Christmas tree! :)

I found lots of other stuff that day but this is all the Emme Claire stuff I got. Well, besides some hairbows. :)

Random pics from November 2010

Here are some pics taken in the month of November 2010 that I never had a chance to put on here so here goes. Enjoy! :)

Emme Claire and her most favorite stuffed animal Tigger, which she calls Tig Tig. She loves him soooo much! He is her sleeping buddy. Has been for as long as I can remember. :)
By the way, those cute jammies say Official Hot Cocoa Tester. :)

Here is Emme Claire with her new Elmo Live Encore doll. It was supposed to be a Christmas present but EC's daddy gave it to her early. This child loves Elmo, says Elmo all the time. I let her watch Elmo videos on my laptop sometimes and so now she associates laptops with Elmo. :)

One night my parents came over and brought Emme Claire some new toys. One was a Toy Story lego set. It came with Jessie and her horse. We had a big laugh when EC tried to squat down on that tiny to ride him! LOL! She is silly!

Emme Claire loves lounging in her pink chair!

I love this big cheeky smile!!!

She was playing Pee Pie behind her little playhouse.

Where's Emme Claire???

I just love these dark purple owl jammies we found at Target!

Reaching for one of the fish above her bed and she actually grabbed it too. Gonna have to move it up some.

Daddy stuck one of our dogs, Brody, in the crib with her and he was trying to find a way out! haha!

Showing me her ear. She loves pointing out body parts.

Just playing with some Mickey and friends cards.

On this day her hair was extra curly! It was so pretty! Her hair has grown so much since her first birthday.

She likes dancing along with this tree we got from Cracker Barrel restaurant. It plays a Christmas song and dances. She likes it!

Decorating a little tree in Emme Claire's room for her to play with so that maybe she will not play with the family tree in the living room. :)

This was one Saturday night when we went out to eat with my parents and my younger brother. She was being silly playing with her Cheerios before dinner came.

After the Christmas Parade in Jonesboro Emme Claire was playing with the beads we caught. She loves jewelry and she had lots of fun putting on all these beads. :)

Riding her horse after we put all her beads on him.

Christmas in The Woodlands!

We live in The Woodlands, TX part of the time and a few weekends ago I took these pictures while we were out shopping.

This is the big tree in the middle of Market Street.

Here is my little monkey trying not to have her pic taken!

She gave in a little bit and let me snag a couple pics.

Checking out the big tree up close.

Thanksgiving 2010

This year we spent Thanksgiving Day at Brian's parents house. My parents came over and my brother. Along with Brian's brother and his wife and mother in law. And Brian's Aunt and Cousin. We ended a fantastic meal. My dad fried a turkey and it was soooo good! Brian's parents cooked a ham that was also very good. We had tons of casseroles and salads and sweets! We had a nice time relaxing and visiting.

Here is my dad carving the turkey.

Here is the yummy turkey all cut up and ready to feast on!

The ham and strawberry salad.

The chicken dressing, giblet gravy and candied yams. That is just a portion of the food we enjoyed on this day of giving thanks!

Emme Claire and her Grammy (Brian's mom).

Emme Claire wearing her turkey outfit that I made her! It looked so cute on her!

Getting ready for more pics!

I took these pics about 3 weeks ago before her 18 month pic session with Baby Blues. I had bought these dresses a few weeks before and had never tried them on her so I thought it might be a good idea to see how they looked on her. Of course they were super cute on my little buggy! She had lots of fun twirling around in the fluffy pink dress!
By the way, the pics turned out fantastic! The photographer was Baby Blues Photography in West Monroe, LA. She has been taking Emme Claire's pics since she was a newborn.

Peek A Boo!!!

Emme Claire had her 18 month pediatrician check up last week and she got a great report. The doctor said she was such a well behaved child. (little does she know! haha!) All the development questions that the doctor asked us about Emme had already surpassed the average development of a child her age. She was in the 49th percentile for her weight 24lbs 7oz, which means she is exactly the right weight for her age. And she was in the 98th percentile for her height, 33 1/2 inches, which means she is taller than the average child her age. She got a flu shot and one of her immunization shots. One in each thigh and she cried so hard. Poor baby doesn't like shots. :( She will have to go back in one month to get the 2nd flu shot. Apparently you have to get 2 shots when you are her age.

EC used to sleep in her own bed until she got RSV and then we let her sleep with us in her Nap Nanny so that she would be elavated and we could keep an eye on her. That was in January or February of this year. Well, that made her never want to go back to her bed. Big mistake! So she has been sleeping with us all this time. Well we are in the TX house right now (been here for a week) and when we got here I decided we would start making her sleep in her crib. We have tried it in the past but she always cried so hard and for so long that we would always give in and pick her up and let her sleep with us. But this week I have not given in! Tonight is the 8th night for her to sleep in her crib! Yay!!! It has not been easy at all but I'm determined that she will continue to sleep in her crib. So far so good! I know it is better for her to sleep in her own bed and better for Brian and I too. It would be great if when we get back to the LA house she will decide she loves sleeping in her own crib but I doubt that will happen.

Oh, tonight Emme said a new word. Apple! She said is several times.
Something else she says that is so cute is "Ta Da!". Like after she does something that she thinks is good she says it. It's so adorable! :) For instance, tonight we were out eating at P.F. Chang's and she was snacking on some Froot Loops while we were waiting for our food. She started stacking them up on top of each other and when she would get a few stacked up she would say "Ta Da!". haha!

The child loves bracelets! I found these for her to wear in a recent photo shoot where she was going to be dressed like a rocker chick in some of the pics. She found them and proceeded to put every last one of them on. I believe there are 12 in all.

And there they all are.

Ready to go to Papaw and Grammy's house!

All the cabinets and drawers at Grammy's house seem to be filled with toys!

Grammy put up an old playhouse she had in storage in her living room and Emme Claire loved it!!!

She has the best time playing "pee pie" with the shutters. Except she says "pie pie"! haha! She shuts the shutters and then throws them open and she either says "Boo!" or "Pie Pie!". :)

"Where's Emme?"

"There she is!!!"
