3 Month Pics

I've never created a post using my Blackberry before, hopefully this will work. We are on the way to New Orleans right now. Just going down for the weekend to enjoy some good cajun food. I checked my email just now and found out that Emme Claire's 3 months pics with Baby Blues are now available to be viewed online. You go to www.babybluesphoto.com and click on Client Gallery and then click on Emme, the login and password are both Amy (with a capitol A) for some reason sometimes you have to enter it twice before it will accept it. They are so cute! There are some pics of EC wearing the pink flower hat that Lanie made and there are some of her laying on a bed of red roses! Its so sweet! I'm gonna have to sit down and figure out which ones I want to order when we get back home. The pics will only be online for a week so don't forget to check them out! And I'll post some pics of EC in Nawlins when we get home!
Y'all have a good weekend!

My Growing Girl!

Emme Claire is 14 weeks old today! I can't believe how fast she has grown in the last 3 months. Just to show you the different take a look at these new pics of her in her bouncer yesterday and compare them to pics I took of her in her bouncer when she was just over a week old.

She is so long that she is filling that bouncer up!

9 days old

Okay so I told you how she loves baths but doesn't like getting out of the bath. Well last night we gave her a bath and of course when we took her out she cried. Then I noticed she had some snot in her nose that needed to come out so I used one of those ball shaped rubber snot suckers on her and she stopped crying and started smiling so big. It was so funny! She LIKED me sucking the snot out of her nose. I think she thought I was playing with her and she thought it was funny. So from now on I don't care if she has snot or not, I'm gonna use the snot sucker on her when I get her out of the bath so she'll stop crying. Hey, what ever works! haha!

I put her in the swing yesterday and she liked it. It has a mirror on it and she just stared at herself until she fell asleep. She slept in it for a long time. I had it playing classical music. She is gonna be a classy lady one day. :)

Our daily routine now consists of EC waking up somewhere between 8 am and 10 am. It just depends on what time she fell asleep the night before. I change her wet diaper and then I give her a bottle (4 to 5 oz plus rice cereal added in). I like to feed her in her room in the cozy soft rocking chair (so glad we made that purchase cause it's a life saver, all three of us love it!). Then after she has eaten and burped, which she hates to be burped, we rock and read books. She loves her books! Then she usually takes a morning nap for maybe an hour if I'm lucky. Then we do the changing and feeding all over again and this is usually when I change her out of her pajama's. When I need to wash bottles or dishes or laundry I will put her in her bouncer and have it turned so that she can see what I'm doing. She's usually okay as long as I'm not too far away. She eats about every 3 to 4 hours now but if we are traveling she will go longer than 4 hours if she is sleeping. I usually give her a bath in the afternoon or evening unless we have to be somewhere during the day then I do it in the morning. Now that she is bigger somedays I lay her on her activity mat so she can look at all the pretty toys hanging above her and listen to the music. And she is really good at sitting in her Bumbo seat too. We call it her "poo poo chair"! haha! Cause she sometimes is able to poop when sitting in it and so when we think she is constipated we will put her in the "poo poo chair". Again... what ever works! :) We go in her room and rock and read books periodically throughout the day. Sometimes she will fall asleep during this time. Sometimes I nearly rock myself to sleep. She has two new stuffed toys that are her favorites. One is Mallory the Monkey (that's the name on the tag) and it rattles and vibrates and is very colorful. The other is Molly the doll, I named Molly. EC will put her arm around either of them and fall asleep holding them. I'll try to post some pics of her with them so y'all can see. It's so cute! Then after her final bottle she will go to sleep somewhere between 11 pm and 1 am usually. She has to sleep with her glowing owl night light! It is a must have at bedtime! Brian's Aunt Dean collects owls and we gave her the same owl night light for her birthday and we told her that if EC's owl night light ever breaks we are coming for hers! ha! That is our back up plan. Hopefully owl will have a very long life. :)

Aunt Dean's Birthday Dinner

Last night we took Brian's Aunt Dean out for her birthday. We met his brother Tim, Tim's fiance Melinda and her son Lane in Ruston at 102 a bistro. We had a great time. Dinner was fabulous! I love that place! Then we went to Maggie Moo's afterwards for ice cream.

Bathtime = Happy Baby

For maybe a week now Emme Claire has been hating getting dried off after her bath. She loves the bath but hates the rest. Yesterday Brian was giving her a bath and then I heard her screaming terribly loud so I went in the kitchen to see what was wrong. He was just drying her off and putting on her diaper. I suggested we take the diaper back off and put her back in the tub to see what would happen. So I did that and as soon as she hit the water she was quiet. Went from screaming uncontrollably to being all peaceful and happy. That little stinker loves bathtime! haha! We can't leave her in there forever, she'd shrivel up like a raisin. When I took her back out she cried again. But we then decided to load her up in the carseat and go for a ride. She loves to ride in the car and in her stroller. She fell asleep before we ever got out of the carport. So I guess all EC wants to do is take baths and go places! :)

3 Months Old

My baby girl is growing up so quickly. She is changing everyday. I look forward to each new experience.

She loves her board books and yesterday I got her an electronic book that lights up and sings nursery rhymes and she loves it too. She loves to be rocked. She loves to be held. She loves gripe water and her pacifier. She loves to be talked to and she loves talking back to you. She loves riding in the car and riding in her stroller. She is a great shopping partner. She loves bathtime. She loves her bouncer, nap nanny and bumbo. She loves her Mommy and Daddy!

We had EC's 3 month pics taken this week by two different photographers. The pics from one are available to be viewed online now. Go to www.mdawsonphoto.com, then click on Proofing, scroll down to the Children/Babies section and click on Emme Claire. You will have to enter your email address and name and then you can view the pics. Once the other pics are online I'll let y'all know so you can see those too!

Last night I went out to dinner and a movie with some girlfriends for my friend Bridget's birthday. Bridget came over first and I got a cute pic of her and EC. Brian babysat so I could have a good time with the girls. We went to 102 a Bistro in Ruston and WOW that place is good! The food was excellent! It's my new favorite "nice" restaurant.

Left fist... check....Right fist... check

Well Emme Claire has now found her right fist and it appears to be just as tasty as the left. She also figured out that she has fingers too. She chows down on them and is very loud about it.

Her expression is so funny in this picture. :)

Nonna stopped by last night and rocked EC for a while. EC took a little nap.

Brian was rocking EC and Asher got jealous so then he had to rock them both. :)

Then Brody came in and he got jealous too! He was determined there would be room for him too!

Family visits

Saturday evening we went over to Brian's Aunt Dean's house in Weston to eat and play cards. I love playing cards! Brian's cousin Lanie and her son Michael came over to play cards with us. We had a good time. Aunt Dean and Lanie got to love on EC while we were there. Lanie made the prettiest crocheted hats for EC. I just love them and had to take some pics of her wearing them so I could share it with everyone. I really want to learn to make stuff like this.

Aunt Dean loves to hold Emme Claire.

Emme Claire was admiring the clock on Aunt Dean's wall because it has sparkly spinning crystals in it and they caught her eye.

I had to try them on as soon as EC woke up that night! Isn't it too cute?!?!

I took the following pics of EC modeling the hats at home. This white one is so sweet, it has sort of a ruffle around the edge.

I just LOVE the big pink flower on this one! So cute!!! And when EC outgrows them she can put them on her baby dolls.

Sunday afternoon Brian's parents, Mike and Janis, stopped by to see Emme Claire.

Nursery Additions

So I've been trying to decide what to get to hang over Emme Claire's crib. I haven't been able to find a mobile that I like so I was thinking outside the box. My mom ordered these cute fish from Pottery Barn Kids. The fins and tails are made out of tulle and the scales are beads, they are hung with fishing line. Then I found a kit at Swoozies in The Woodlands for the three big tissue paper flower balls, they are hung from white grosgrain ribbon. They match her room perfectly. I love how it turned out. EC has plenty to look at now when she is laying in her crib.

We got EC's newborn pictures back from Baby Blues Photography this past week and I had ordered one of the pictures in a frame to hang in her nursery. I think it turned out perfect and looks so good on her wall. The photographer sells these frames. And isn't the picture so sweet? My little doll baby.

I got this flower hook at Pottery Barn Kids. I used it to display the going home from the hospital gown that my mom got for EC.

The detail on the gown is a stork carrying a new baby girl. :)

Brian's mom gave Emme Claire this metal bucket. I think it's so cute! It has her initials painted on it. This came from Ladies In Waiting.

That's all the updates for now. I have three more projects going on that I'll post pics of as soon as I finish them. And I am getting my dad started on a building project for EC as well (has to be before hunting season starts!) So there will be more nursery pics to come. :)
