I managed to find a few minutes this afternoon to have Emme Claire model a few tutus for me. I think they all look really cute on her. And she loves having them on. I guess tutus are just a very funny thing to a 4 month old. :)

New tutus!
Here are a couple of new tutus. I didn't get a chance to have Emme Claire model them for me this weekend. Hopefully tomorrow we will have time. And I have one more that I haven't quite finished that I'll try to get her to model as well.
Sugar Plum Fairy tutu - matte pink and purple - shown in 6" length. Matching tutu poof headband is optional.

Tutu Price List and Photos!
I'm having a lot of fun making these tutus. If they don't sell then I guess Emme Claire will just have a tutu in every color!
Okay I worked up a price list but if there is a length that you would like other than these just let me know and I'll give you a price. Also I can do solid color tutus or any color combination that you like. I ask that you give me the child's waist measurement for the sizing. I'm not going to do a generic size for 0 to 6 months or 6 to 12 months because they are never right. You might want me to make it one inch larger so that she can wear it longer. Here some pics of the tutus on hangers and of EC modeling them for me. I have named each tutu so that when you order you can just tell me the name and I'll know exactly which one you are talking about.
Halloween tutu - made of shimmer black and orange - shown in 6" length (she hasn't modeled this one yet)
Lil' Tiger tutu - matte purple and yellow - shown in 6" length
Woodland Fairy tutu - shimmer brown, ivory and green - shown in 12" length
Gerber Daisy tutu - matte bright pink and orange - shown in 6" length
Lil' Techster - matte royal blue and red - shown in 6" length
Butterfly Fairy tutu - matte light pink and light purple - shown in 12" length
Price List
6" length matte = $15 Plus tutu poof headband = $20
6" length shimmer = $17 Plus tutu poof headband = $22
12" length matte = $20 Plus tutu poof headband = $25
12" length shimmer = $24 Plus tutu poof headband = $29
18" length matte = $26 Plus tutu poof headband = $31
18" length shimmer = $32 Plus tutu poof headband = $37

4 Month Check Up
We took Emme Claire to the pediatrician today for her 4 month wellness check up. I was really excited to go because it has been so long since she has been weighed or measured and I was dying to know how big she is. Don't get me wrong... I'm glad that she hasn't been sick and that we haven't needed to take her to the doctor for any reason but I wish I had a baby scale at home to keep track of how fast she grows. Drum roll please.... EC weighs 13 lbs 5 oz and she is 25 1/4" long! She is in the 50th percentile on her weight (which means she is at exactly the right weight, not too big, not too small) and she is between the 75th and 90th percentile on her height (which means she is taller than average! yay!). The doctor said everything looked good. She told us that we can now give her all the juices except orange juice and that I don't have to dilute it with nursery water anymore. So when we got home I gave her a bottle of apple mixed with pear juice and no water and she drank it all up! I think she really liked it. She also told us that we can give her the flavored Pedialyte. Before we could only give her the plain clear kind but now she can have cherry, grape etc. We can also start feeding her rice cereal mixed with either formula, juice or Pedialyte. And then after that we can start introducing baby food. First green veggies, then orange veggies, then the rest of the veggies and then the fruits.
An update on her sleeping at night... We put a CD player in her room and I had bought her a classical music CD made for babies a while back, so we started playing that every night and put it on repeat so that it will just play over and over. It works!! She sleeps so good now! We are still working on getting her to go to bed earlier. The doctor said not to let her take an evening nap. That is going to be hard! She is going to be cranky!
I took some new pics of EC today. I know it's been a while since I've posted on here. The first pics are of her in a cute onesie that I bought from Ladies In Waiting back when I was pregnant. It has an E on it. I got the matching socks that have an E on them (which you can't see the E in the pics), the matching hair bow that has an E on it and the matching pacifier clip that also has an E on it. A friend of mine has the same onesie for her daughter and she showed it to me the other day which made me remember mine. I almost waited too long for her to get to wear it. It fits good around the waist but it won't be long and it will be too short in the stride for her. It's a 0 to 6 month size. Maybe she can wear it a few more times before she grows out of it.
The next set of pics are of Emme Claire modeling a tutu I made for her a few days ago. My mom helped me with it. I think it turned out so cute. I call this one my Woodland Fairy Tutu because of the colors. It is shimmery brown/gold, green and ivory.
This one is 13" long and I made the waist 16" so she could wear it for a while. Her waist is a little over 14" right now. So it's a little big on her but it fits fine for pics and if she had on a onesie it would fit even better.
I went to Hobby Lobby today and bought a lot more tulle. I'm thinking about making tutu's and selling them. And also making matching headbands and monogrammed onesies that will be optional. If you would be interested in buying one you can email me about it at shoegalamy@yahoo.com
They would make great Halloween costumes, Christmas gifts, photography props (I love taking a tutu for EC to wear when she gets her pics taken), baby shower gifts, birthday presents, birthday girl outfits and of course for playing dress up! I'm gonna start making more tonight and I'll post pics of them very soon. I've got a lot of great ideas.
She loves tutus!!! She started smiling when I put it on her. I think she likes all that fluffy fabric.
Doesn't she look like a little woodland fairy? :)

My Tutu Princess
It's been a few days since I last posted on here. We haven't been up to much this week. Emme Claire is wearing me out because we are trying to get her to sleep in her crib again. We tried it a while back but gave up because we kept having to go in there and put her pacifier back in every time it fell out and that got old. But she is nearly 4 months old and we really need her sleeping in her crib so we are giving it another try. I guess it's been about 4 nights now. She much prefers to be snuggled up to someone when she sleeps, she sleeps more soundly that way. So when she is in her crib she wakes up a lot easier and when her pacifier falls out it makes her start squirming and then she starts crying. I watch her on the video monitor and when I see that the pacifier has fallen out and that she is gonna wake up I get up and run in there and put it back in. That usually puts her right back to sleep. But it's not good for my sleep. She is really wearing me out. It's the worst when she first goes down which might be midnight and in the morning after say 6 am. Between those times she sleeps pretty soundly. I really wish she would start going to bed earlier but she doesn't want to. Hopefully this will get easier if we just don't give up again.
I took a moment today and snapped some new pics of little miss priss in another tutu that I got her. She is gonna have so many tutus. I have several coming in the mail now. We still don't have a purple one though. I'm on the look out for one.
She liked grabbing the skirt.
She also liked looking at it which made it a little hard to get a good pic of her.
Yes, this hat is too big for her but I still think it's cute. She'll grow into it one day.
She kept trying to eat Daisy Duck's hair bow.

Eeyore and Emme Claire
During our trip to Houston we bought EC some stuffed animals at The Disney Store in The Woodlands Mall. One of which was Eeyore. I think he is just the cutest! So last night I had EC laying in her crib and I was trying to give her some things to look at while did some straightening in her room. I put Eeyore in the bed with her and she took right to him. She was grabbing him and she even had her arm wrapped around him for awhile. And when I picked him back up he was a little damp so I guess she was giving him kisses too! :)
You can't tell it in the pics but her little arm is wrapped around Eeyore in the following two pics. :) So sweet!

New Frames!
I got some new frames for some of the pictures that I've been ordering of Emme Claire. My friend Sarah makes frames. Her business is called Distressed Designs and she has a blog website where you can view them. They are really nice. I just got 5 frames but I don't have them all ready to take pics of yet but here is one of them. This is a 5x7 bow frame, white with a pink bow.
I'll post pics of the other frames as I get them hung. I think I'm gonna be keeping Sarah busy making frames with all these pics we've been ordering! Visit her website at http://customdistresseddesigns.blogspot.com/

An Emme Claire update!
So EC was 16 weeks old this past Thursday. She goes for her 4 month wellness check up on August 26th. I'm anxious to find out how much she weighs and how long she is now. She has grown so much since the last time we went to the pediatrician. She smiles all the time and talks or jabbers all the time. And sometimes she jabbers very loudly. It's so cute! She hasn't rolled all the way over yet but it won't be long. She rolls onto her side and kicks her feet and she actually turns in a circle. I can't believe she is nearly 4 months old. I dread having to take her for her 4 month shots. :( Brian will have to go with us because I can't watch them give her a shot. I hope she doesn't cry too much. Poor baby. Oh and when we go to her doctor I'm going to see if we can start feeding her certain baby foods yet. I can't wait to see how she reacts to the different fruits and veggies. So far she only drinks formula with a little rice cereal mixed in and we give her one bottle a day that is 2 oz of nursery water, 1 oz pear juice and 1 oz apple juice. She likes it. Tonight I mixed up some of the rice cereal in a bowl with some nursery water and tried feeding it to her with a baby spoon. She had it on the tip of her nose and all over her chin and all over her bib and burp cloth too! She got a little frustrated and so we ended up mixing it into a bottle of formula. She drank that right up.
I snapped these pics last night before we rode to Ruston to get some Maggie Moo's ice cream. Love that place! She is wearing some little blue jeans that my friend Erin gave her. And a onesie that I had monogrammed for her. The onesie is a 6 to 9 month size and it fits her now. It must run small because in most things she wears a 3 to 6 month size. But she is still able to wear her Newborn size gowns and most of her 0 to 3 month size dresses and outfits. She tends to grow out of her onesies quicker than anything. I hope that means she is tall!
I just love her gummy grin and big blue eyes! :)
Emme Claire saying "No way! Are you serious? I can't believe that!" haha!
"Oh no! That's terrible news!"
